are here to help make it as simple as possible. Some of the questions we have fielded in the past are below and by clicking them you will be taken to answers that cover the topic. We are here to answer any questions that you may still have

SUBMITTING YOUR MANUSCRIPT EXERPT

 

    HERES WHAT WE NEED TO RECEIVE AND HOW:

 

Authors seeking consideration for publication with A15 Publishing must submit an electronic package consisting of:

 

1. A15 Publishing  "AUTHORS SUBMISSION FORM"

COMPLETE our  "Author Submission Form" located on the website  www.a15publishing.com or click here to go to form

PLEASE NOTE: The  "Authors Submission Form" includes an UPLOAD area to submit your sample.

 

2. A Sample Of Your Work

 

EXPECTED SAMPLE OF THE WORK:

 

    • If you have ​a book over 150 pages: submit one chapter, (up to 30 pages) with explanatory set up.

    • If you have a book under 150 pages: submit ten pages of one chapter or section.

    • If you have a short poem or short children's book: submit the entire work.​

 

Once we receive the form and review your sample, will respond within 21 calendar days,  but many times much sooner (some exceptions apply).

​

If A15 is interested in moving forward after direct contact with the author and an overall review of the author’s concept, the author will be asked to submit a larger example of their work.

    HOW TO PRESENT THE WORK FOR CONSIDERATION

​

Double-space your manuscript excerpts in a .doc or docx file. Only these two versions are accepted.

PLEASE NOTE: Valuable documents or photographs should be digitized and the scanned files included.

The Authors Submission Form has a "SUBMIT" button at the bottom of the form.

Please ensure entire form is complete and your sample is attached before submitting.

Incomplete submissions will not be considered.

Our ultimate goal is to respond within 21 days of receiving a submission, and often it will be much sooner. Occasionally circumstances arise that could delay our response. For instance, some days we get 20 submissions; some days we get just three. Every single one is important to us so we handle each one personally and with care. However, things happen-so, if you are concerned we did not receive your submission, drop us a note at info@a15publishing.com.

 

    HOW WE MAKE OUR DECISIONS

Our decisions are based largely on

    • the freshness of the topic

    • how well it fits into our ethos

    • how thoroughly and authoritatively the author voiced the story 

    • the quality of the research and/or writing

    • the likely marketability of the book, genre, etc.

AUTHORS MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do ROYALTIES WORK?

 

Once accepted as a new A15 Publishing Author, you will be presented with a contract. Each work that we accept is different and thus we do not have an "across the board" set royalty split. Each Author will be offered a number based on his or her experience, manuscript, etc.​​

How is A15 Publishing UNIQUE IN THE PUBLISHING WORLD?

​

​A15 Publishing provides a unique opportunity platform for veteran and service oriented authors.  We offer favorable terms which are much more competitive than a mainstream, traditional publishing house. We also don’t require a ridiculous amount of money upfront like so called “vanity-publishers.”  

​

Our passion is getting Active Duty Military, Veterans, Retired, First Responders and their family members' story to the readers of the world.

 

A15 Publishing is a Veteran Owned, Veteran run company and sometimes we might take a while to respond to a submission or call you back. Being a mid-sized firm allows us to work with you personally, and actually get to know you.  And with that, we expect to develop a joint attitude that we are in this together.  Everything from our business model, personal service, and the terms of our contract are designed with the author in mind; we want you to publish with us, we want you to enjoy the experience and we want you to pass that experience on to your friends and family. We only make money through book sales, so we are tenacious about the quality of the book. We are passionate about partnering with you to get your book in the hands of the reading public.

Once my work has been accepted by A15, HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO PRINT?

 

A15 Publishing works hard to bring the authors submission from manuscript to printed book in as little time as we can without compromising quality, workmanship or ethics. We work along side the authors (virtually) to get the work polished and ready for sale, including cover art, editing, etc. With that said, this process can sometimes take longer than we would hope or like. We always work diligently on each work to ensure the authors and eventually the readers, feel the passion we pour into each title.
